More than 2,000 jobs will be created in Louisiana

A large portion of the Grand Isle LNG project will be made in America, creating many good paying jobs in the USA.

U.S. CONSTRUCTION JOBS

The project will provide the following estimated temporary jobs* for administrative, engineering, and construction positions:

  • Jackets, Topsides, & Bridges: 1,254 jobs for 3 years
  • Transport Barge: 135 jobs for 5 months
  • 3 Tugs: 90 jobs for 2 years
U.S. HOOKUP & COMMISSIONING JOBS OFFSHORE

It is estimated that the project will provide 300 jobs* for a period of 6 months.

U.S. LOADOUT & INSTALLATION JOBS

It is estimated that the loadout and installation of Phases 1 and 2 will require 141 jobs* for a period of 1 year.

U.S. FULL TIME OPERATIONAL JOBS

During the 25-year life of the DWP, the project will create and support the following full-time jobs. These jobs will be in administration, engineering and operations:

  • Floating storage units (FSUs): each FSU will employ 29 officers and seamen, for a total of 58
  • 3 Tugs: each tug will employ 8, for a total of 24
  • Offshore DWP: a total of 35 personnel
  • Home office and shore base: 17 personnel
  • Engineering, construction, finance, legal: 22 personnel
